Hybrid Heat uses a heating source
that provides the most
energy-efficient comfort during
moderate heating conditions. If the
temperature drops below a given
temperature, your system goes to
a secondary heating source when

heat pump as well as the furnace.

around here that could use some
interpretation. Such as Afue and
Seer.
AFUE stands for Annual Fuel
Utilization Efficiency. Say
What?? That translates as a
measurement of heat that is
actually delivered to your house
, compared to the amount of
fuel that you supply to the
furnace. If you have an 80%
furnace, then 80% of the fuel is
being converted into heat for
your home and 20% is flying
away. This is why we prefer
the 90% furnace.
Seer stands for Seasonal
Energy Efficiency Ratio. This is
the cooling output provided by
the AC unit during its normal
annual usage period divided by
it's total energy consumption.
In other words, it's similar to the
miles-per-gallon rating for
automobiles. The more
efficient the AC, the higher the
SEER rating!
